Kate led him to the kitchen where she searched for the mac and cheese. “I’ve been alright, too. Nothing much going on,” she answered just as he handed her the bag of Twizzlers. Her face brightened. “You’re officially forgiven,” she exclaimed with a big smile. She would’ve given him a hug but they’d never hung out before and she didn’t know if that would be awkward. “I’ll get it started as soon as I find it,” she said laughing.

Everett followed the brunette down to the kitchen and sat while she looked around. “It’s a nice place you’ve got here” he said while giving her a smile. “I wasn’t too sure how much you wanted so I just got as many as I could find” he said letting out another laugh. “Oh, and You might find an open one…. I couldn’t help myself on the way here” He said jokingly.

Kate had felt bad since Everett never showed up. But she wasn’t one to hold grudges and as soon as he told her he was going to come by she perked up. She changed from her pajamas to a pair of jeans and a cute shirt. Soon enough, the door bell rang and she smiled. She skipped down the stairs and opened to the door to find Everett smiling at her. “Hi there!” she greeted letting him inside the house. “How are you today?” she asked being friendly. She was glad to have a friend over. She was a little shy in nature and didn’t really have all that many friends outside of her family. 

As the door opened there was a very perky Katie smiling and inviting Everett to come in. “hey you” Everett said. Everett quickly glanced around the house feeling a bit awkward since he had never really hung out with Katie before and not really knowing what to expect.  ”I’ve been alright. It’s been a very chill day, how about you?” As he finished answering, Everett handed Katie the bag of candy “So about that Mac and Cheese” he said, letting out a laugh.
